help oil leak
ok its a 96 accord ex.....its leaking oil from right above the oil filter....it just startted about a few weeks ago...it seems to be running along the pipe abopve the oil filter...but only right above the oil filter...please help
The oil pressure sending unit is above the oil filter, But you say it is on the coolant transfer pipe above the sending unit? That could be caused by a leaking cam seal or valve cover gasket. Go get a spray can of brake clean and blast down the back of the motor, Run the engine 20 minutes or so and look for the leak, then from the top you'll see a 'flat shelf' to the right side of the valve cover, if it's oily the cam seal is leaking. Hint: Liquids like oil run down hill, start at the top and work down to find the leak.
its not wet at all above to collent pipe....i cleaned it all off and watched to see the oil but all i could see was coming right above the oil filter and leaking down the coolent pipe...how had is it to remove the sending unit...wist is the sending unit above the pipe?
