Puff, Puff, Give... hand over what every you are smoking cause I don't see how a mirror is going to keep crap out of your face unless you hang your head out the window like a dog?

In Japan, there are advantages to having smaller or folding mirrors - mainly for parking. In North America there are no valid reasons. There may be some advantage to the mirrors creating less drag if they are smaller - but not at legal speeds.

The Spoon mirrors both (r&l) have convex surfaces - so judging distance at a glance will be harder. You almost have to put those "Caution: objects in mirror are closer than they appear" stickers on the bottom. Not worth the $$ if you ask me.

Factory mirrors have the arm to stick it out form the car... the flat surface of the mirror that is closest to the car makes "things" deflect inside.
Hard to explain... but when you have a june beetle tap the inside-side of the mirror and zing by your head... you will understand.

the first bug buzz by scared me and gave me a chuckle.

after the tire worm made it thru the opening of my full face helmet (visor open) and pelted my face... I woke up and cleaned my shorts.

one thing I noticed after getting the m00gen seat was that the large stock mirror obstructs my view when cornering. not so much on the passenger side, but on the driver's side. since my eye level is just a few inches above the door, it kinda makes it hard to judge left hand turns.

yshi - who wants to remove the stock mirrors and mount some smaller ones, up higher on the A pillar.

Spoon doesn't make the mirrors, Vision does.

They are poorly made.

They are also lighter (function).

The driverside (JDM Passenger side) mirror is convexed only. (opposite of USDM mirrors) Not both.

A cheaper alternative if you what a wide angle view is a "broadway" aftermarket rear view mirror.

I would pass on the "Race Mirrors" Now if your talking about the Blue tinted Convex Mirrors from Spoon then its a whole other story, they are great they extend the field of view so much. You can see 4 lanes over on the highway about 2 car lengths back from the 1st lane Fitment is great, and I've had mine on for about 6 or 7 months without a problem.

Before & After

I'd rather have the tinted mirrors...Might help keep the glare down from the headlights of cars behind me at night.
