5 speed tranny question
for when i switch over to the d15b vtec, do i want a 92-95 5 speed, or do i want a 88-91 si 5 speed tranny? how much do they usually run for, i was thinking like 100-150, but i checked out this auto shop/junk yard, and a 90 si tranny was going for $225, is that right?
thx
thx
I would stay with a cable tranny..converting to hydro for d-series is a pain and not really worth it unless youre gonna run the y8 tranny with steel forks..And with the tranny try and get a 89 or 90-91 si tranny..average price for those is around $100- on here..
ya im staying with the cable tranny, maybe i said that wrong i dont know. so i want the 88-91 si 5 speed? yes i know they come with they hydro for lke an extra $150 or so but im not going that route so ya.

I would get the 89 or 90-91 tranny..88 trannys are different. And some of the civic si trannys have a lower final drive ratios then the rest..I dont know why..So If I were you I would get a crx si tranny..
