How do you erase the emissions code after making repair or just trying for internittent failure. Code is P0420 " catalyst efficiency... " Is it erased by simply removing the 7.5 amp battery backup under hood or is is "hard coded" and only erased after some sort of scanning tool reset.

Yes you can remove the fuse for 10 seconds; be sure you have your radio code if it's an anti-theft.
