I just got a 2001 EX V6 Accord 4 door. It has a stock 6 cd changer on the dash. How do I know if i have a 4 or 6 speakers? I know there are usually 2 speakers in the rear and two on each side of the doors. Where are the other 2 ? Any pics might help. thanks.

 

In my 04 there were 6 speakers, the 2 in the doors, and 2 in the back panel.

However, the 2 "tweeters"(small speakers that output higher frequency noise ie treble) were up in the front built into the dash to a point where it wasn't worth getting to them. When I had my stereo installed, they drilled holes in the door for the new tweeters.

If you're looking into a new stereo system, nowadays most front speakers come with tweeters that they can put in. Personally, I think it looks cooler with the tweeters where I can see them. If you need pics of my setup, I can get them.

 

In your model there are 6 speakers. 6 1/2" speakers in the doors and 6x9" speakers in the back. There are also 2 small tweeter in the dash. I just got mine replaced about a week ago.

 

they all have 4 speaker

the EX and SE got front tweeter, dx and lx have four speakers and a plastic block off plate

the speakers you shouldn't have trouble finding, the tweeter is the mesh fabric covered piece just ahead of the side window vent
