ok, so here's the problem.... the other day I got my car running again, after months of down time, and everything works fine mechanically. The only problem I have is when I go to turn my headlights on the windshield wipers automatically come on. I can not figure out why it would do this. The only thing near the headlight or wiper switch that was touched was the steering wheel because i just switched it to a '96 JDM ITR steering wheel. but I do not see how it would make my lights and wipers get all screwed up like that.
Can anyone think of what might cause something like this to happen? I have been told maybe a ground wire somewhere, but where do i start to look first? This is just hella annoying having my wipers on whenever it gets dark out, rain or not. luckily i live in the state of WA where it rains 97% of the time.
anyhow, i would really appreciate some input from people. Thnx

Same thing happend to my car. Took it to a shop and they said the unit with the lights, wipers, and blinkers had a short in it. Guy ran a ground from the unit to the chassis and it was fixed.

 

good to hear man, thats what i thought but wanted to see if anyone else had any knowledge of this.
