im replacing my dist cap, and rotor and found out that the black thing needs to be replaced. i dont know whats it called, its like being held by 2 screws, and once its off there are 2 wires connecting to it. its rectangular in shape, and its burnt pretty bad. im guessing its the coil?

 

is there any way you could post pics? that might help alittle

btw: the coil has a coil sticking out of it.

 

i just got it fixed. its the ignition coil and my old one was pretty much burnt. the thing thats sticking out is all gone and i cant believe it. cost of cap, rotor, and coil= 160 D15b7 dx motor with 175k= 150 bucks
was really going to save up for a swap but i cant drive without a good coil
