Well I got my car on Friday and I'm not too happy... :(
Though Friday was going to be a good day, as I drove out to pick up my car after 2 months of not having it. When I got there everything looked great, so I picked up some stuff from Mike K and I headed on out. We stoped at Burger King before leaving town and I noticed how dirty the was so I wiped it with my hand. The dirt did not come off. So I look closer, it's fawking over spray. The entire car is covered in white over spray that won't wash off. You have to rub it off with some pressure. So as I'm looking around the car getting pissed, I notice a nice ding/paint chip in the door jam. It looked like they left the door open and back into something. Great so now I'm even more pissed. I take the car back to the dealer and they take a look at it and tell me there is nothing they can do right now about it. So I have to bring the car back on Friday for them to change the oil (They said they need to send a sample to Honda because they've never seen a spun bearing like that before <shrug> ) . They are also going to give the car a full detailing and get all the over spray off.
Ok that is great, but on the way how I found another problem. The shifter has about 3 inches of play from left to right while in gear and out of gear. I check the linkage and the bushings and everything is tight. The tranny still shifts and sounds fine, however, since there is so much play in it, it will only go into 4th about 25% of the time because I am not right in line due to the 3 inches of play.
I've already called the dealership and let them know about the problem. They are going to look at it on Friday and let me know whats up. Hopefully its something stupid I over looked. If not, looks like I'll be with out my car again for a while
Other then thouse problems, the car is strong. And the ATS FD, on a new short block sucks cause I can only go about 60 to 70 mph
But, it is nice having some power in the lower rpm range
300 more miles before I can realy get on her.

Dunno what they were spraying, but it is on about 90% of the car. You can see on the front where it looks like they laid something on the car to cover it, but it did not work.
As for the linkage, I looked and did not see anything wrong, perhaps I was just too pissed off to take my time and figure it out.
Also i'm keeping it under 5k rpm and not letting it sit at one speed/rpm for any long periods of time. I have taken it up to about 7k for a second just to make sure it's still got some peep

no it doesn't. I have no complaints with the one in my 'hood (Woodfield Acura). when it comes to dealer service departments, some are good. some suck. just like anything else in life.
