My fugging car got boosted (STOLEN) Sunday morning around ~3am. Me and my girlfriend went out Sat. night around 8pm and got home at 2am. The car was noticed missing at 11am Sunday morning. I called the police and the faukers don't even come out to get a statment or anything. They told me they got all they needed from me from the phone conversation that lasted all but 5 minutes. The funny thing was when the 911 operator asked me if there was something distinctive about my car (after getting a full description) and I laughed sarcastically and told her it was freaking yellow! How obvious did she want it to be, "yeah its got a big 'I'm stolen sign on it'...huh"

I only know of 3 yellow ITR's in the triad and that includes mine. The car was stolen from my parking space in my apartament. The joint is gated and that night one of the entrances was left open...ARRGHHH

I already miss my car! It was a stock ITR with a comptech axle back. My car was the 2nd one to be stolen from our neighborhood this week. The first one was a sweet navigator. I thought it was one of the nicest places to live but I was wrong.

Do you guys think that I can sue management? I know I wont be able to sue for the car but I mean for neglegence or loss of collectibility? I'm pissed. They have had these new full gates for 5 months and they arent worth a damn in my opinion.

I am not sure about suing management.... but put up a LOT of fliers about your theft to make residents aware of the issue. The last place I lived wanted to keep car theft very quiet as it tends to scare off new residents.

Yeah if I do go ahead and put those fliers up then they could actually turn around and sue me for deformation of character and in turn sue for a greater sum of money. I'm actually contacting my lawyer and we'll see what his views are of the situation.

Thanks a lot guys, keep an eye out for your cars. I already called my attorney and my buddy who also drives a stock PY ITR. I told him if he gets pulled not to worry b/c of what happened. He also commented that if my car was chopped here that it would be found probably in pieces or more than likely it would be sent out of state, possibly to FL to some chop shop there.

 

Safa, do you think someone followed you? I don't recall ever seeing your car parked at the place, but Beth said she used to see you driving around all the time. What sort of security did you have in place, besides living at a gated complex?

It has been exactly 30 days since my R got stolen, no recovery, and is a complete loss

Come to think of it I was driving down hilltop rd fri night and there was this Si that tailed me from High Point RD. I thought it was just a ricer that was wanting to race. It was a FPB si w/some sort of body kit. He followed me until the RR tracks and I decided to put it back in 1st and ditch him b/c I was feeling a little unfortable him tailing me. I lose him because he obviously couldn't keep up. As I was approaching the gates from Hilltop to the apt's i see him coming hard so I decided to go straight and I punched through the light and this time I could not shake him off my a$$! It's like he sprayed or something. I figured the only way to lose him was on through a couple of turns or get him stuck at a light. Fortunately I got him stuck at the Guilford College Rd light and took the other way home. This was around 7:45pm. The driver obviously knows where I live b/c they saw me in the turning lane to the complex

 

I would pass this info along to the police asap. You never know anymore

 

Wicked do you have access to a color printer to print some of the pics from your album to bring to the PD? Anything to help the lazy asses to recover your car quickly!!

if it's gated apt complex, there should be a lot of cameras around, at least at the entrance of the apt. A car stolen in such so called secured apt complex is a BIG deal to the property management, i think, and can really turn away alot of potential residents. You gotta really work with the management, to take a look at the video if they have some. and somehow you have to do more work, because the police really sucks, and hopeless in this matter.

I'm safa's friend that lives in the area ever since he told me about what happened my type-r is staying the garage from now on.

 

When they were having the gates redone 5 months ago they said that they spent over $60k on the new gates and guess what...they don't have cameras! They are going to be getting a call!
