Default Will a 90-91 cluster..........

Will a 90-91 dx-si cluster swap into a 90'std hatch without having to re-wire it?
My guage cluster does not have the rpmz!!! I want the rpmz!!!!!! A while back my bro gave me a cluster out of his 89'crx....Si I think. I hooked everything up but my rpmz were not registering.
Anybody got a link or a write-up on this?
Thanks guys.

RPM is controled by a blue wire. Trace the printed circuit on the back of the cluster and see what plugs it goes to (pin-outs). I think there are 3 screws in the back of the cluster, ground, light, and tach power. you should be able to figure the right pin-out for the blue wire because the printed circuit to the blue wire should go only to the blue wire, the other 2 will go around to other lights or screws. Hope this helps, I'm at work and I'm trying to tell you from memory. Move blue wire to correct pin-out and try that.

Yes it will. their should be some parts of your cars wiring that aren't used with the cluster thats in their now. Its not completely self explanitory, but it isn't brain surgery either. just be careful that the screws inthe back of the cluster cover don't fall into the dash after you looosen them

have you looked at the back of your cluster to see what pin-out the tach goes to? Put the BLUE wire there and give it a shot!!!!!
