Was just wondering has anyone tried or know if they USDM front lip would fit onto the JDM front? From what I understand from reading the archives it is possible to fit the JDM itr lip onto the 94-97 USDM bumper but is it possible vice versa?

Reason I ask is just that theres not that much options for lips for the JDM front compared to the USDM front.

I searched and found this pic which I suspect to be a USDM front lip since I have never seen this lip for the JDM front.



Anyone know for sure?

 

What you could always do, if a buddy of yours maybe has a USDM lip, you could always take your bumper off, and just eyeball it, and make the nessecary changes to make it fit.

I'm sure this can be done.

If a G3 lip can go on to a G2, I'm sure this can.

There are tons and tons more options for the JDM front than USDM. A lot of those lips that you think are just for the USDM, like the one you posted, are all replicas of actual JDM front lips, like spoon mugen etc. Then there are also tons that aren't available for the USDM front like the OEM, Top Fuel and others.

 

So exactly what do u have to do to make it fit, is there a lot of mods that you have to do? Im in the same boat, i just got my JDM swap finished. And well it needs a lip. I dont want to buy 1 and find out that i doesnt fit.

Just make sure when you buy it, it's for the JDM front. I'm sure if you call up jhpusa or passwordjdm or any other place, they can give u a list of lips they have for the JDM front. Or if you get used, just make sure your buying from someone that had it on their JDM front.

To be honest I dont like that lip at all, looks odd to me

Anyways over there there might be alot of options for the jdm front but where I am I can only find the spoon cf lip and the azect lip

 

So you can put the JDM front lip on a 94-97 USDM front?Or am I just missing something...?

there is a jdm front lip(s) for the 94-97 front, but not the ones for the "JDM" front end. Japan had the round headlights from 93-95 or something.

Wrong dude, the JDM itr lip has been known to be able to fit the 94-97 USDM front

 

So does it fit without mods or just bolt up? I think this could be an interesting look.

 

Do not get a lip that is ABS plastic beacause it will break easier. Get one that is polyurethane replica of oem or if you can find a oem, get it.

 

well from just looking at it, the 94-97 itr lip looks similar in shape and design to the JDM ITR lip.

If you are talking about the JDM itr lip onto the usdm prefacelift front then from what I read theres only minor modification

 

What about aftermarket lips for the JDM ITR front? Since the Stock one fits with minor mods....shouldn't others? Sorry about the questions, but as you can see I'm a noob.

Im guessing it should fit, probably something like urethane that is really flexible though because fibreglass would probably crack if you try to bend it too much.

Im not 100% sure so dont judge me on it, maybe someone else can chime in and give you more info as I only have the JDM front and always did.

 

Any last minute info before I go order the lip???
