1st gen jdm b16a into 91 integra
i tried searching for this.... i recently purchased a jdm 1st gen b16a, will it swap into a 91 ls with out aftermarket mounts? I am assuming that the ls is a b series motor so the b16 should swap right in. is this true?

It will bolt right up, hope you have the tranny and ECU that go with the B16

Yes it will bolt up but everyone will tell you that it's not worth it. It's better if you get a B16 tranny to go with it.

With the gearing in the LS your b16 will feel slow as hell, that is why the LS works better for high HP turbo cars because they have enough power to use the longer gears.
Go with a ys1 (92-93 Integra JDM and USDM) and you will be much more happy

high hp cars dont run ls trannys, they use gsr and b16a. The ls tranny sucks all around

I have heard that they suck as well, alot of people say they shift sloppy and don't feel as smooth ac Vtec trannies but I still know of quite a few people that run the LS setup fot the gearing.

I say go with what you got for now as well simply because you sound like your on as tight a budget as me! Good luck on getting the Vtec tranny soon
