Sprint Exterme springs questions..
I was wondering are they any good to have ? Whats their drop on those lowering springs ? i heard some go between 1inch to 3 inches, is this true ? and well where are their website for this springs?
if your just looking dump your car and have it ride like **** then they should be fine.but if you want somthing that makes it handle better and lowers it and has a good ride then there not the best choice.
i really do care having a decent ride though...right now my car already have decent ride with coil-overs. I just wanted to see what poeple's opinion on these springs. that is all.

They look great for the drop but as far as performance goes, just forget it! THEY SUCK! (especially on stock struts) they just are not stiff enough to provide good performance. I know I will probably fet flamed for this but If you are one of the ones that think these springs are good for performance then you really don't know anything about REAL suspension...sorry but it's just the sad truth. Real hondas need real suspension! The best setup you can buy for the money for adjustability and ride quality is something like Skunk 2 coilovers with Tokico 5-ways, other than that or something like it you just need to go all out for full Tein coilovers (Not a whole lot more than Tokico/skunk but well worth it)
Unfortunetely though this is not a cheap upgrade, nor is any good suspension for that matter. Just suck it up, spend the money, go broke for a month or two (if your like me) and you'll never look back to regret it

Yeah sprint extremes are just for looks..They have progressive rates so the ride isnt bad at all and you can use stock shocks or a mild shock and not have it blow,, but for ultimate handling look elsewhere..I just purchased the skunk2 full coilover kit for $500 and they're great..Not the best out there but there good enough for a street car,,
I have sprint springs, and my stock shocks bottomed out with them
ofcourse they've been on the car for quite some time, now I have the bounciest ride in town, not that I drive the crx anymore, anyway, while in this thread, what do you guys think of a neuspeed springs, with koni 5-way adjustable shocks? I'm thinkin about using that setup on the crx this spring, for daily driven use (Decent roads) and weekend drag racing

Ah come on you just had to condone those springs didn't you??
You coulda just just stuck with the last part of your statement and been fine, I am not to suprised though because every cheap part thread I have seen had your post on it saying, Na man that part is great save your money and go with the cheap stuff. after stepping up to a more quality setup (skunk 2) I am suprised you still gave props to the sprint????

I have them. They lower your car 3 1/4" all around. All in all I like them, the ride is stiff and shitty but I blame my tokico blues..not the springs. They can be difficult to get ahold of these days but they're still available if you look hard.
sorry, not at the moment. these springs are definately not for the feint of heart. i dont even recommend them if you have a b-swap... speedbumps and dips are not your friend
i dented my obx header within a few days of completing my motor swap and cracked a tranny case within a couple of months. i'm a sucker for the slammed look & thats why ive kept them

Yeah I love the slammed look as well which sprint are great for but I learned a long time that they are very poor for handling (losing my rear end @ 90mph on the parkway in boone sure changed my mind on sprints), once I upgraded to Skunk I could not beleive I ever even ran sprint springs.
As far as your header goes though, at least it was OBX which was no real loss
, it was in your destiny to replace it w/ a quality unit
As far as your slammed look preference just go with coilovers (not cheap **** though) cause you can go low as hell for show and raise it a little more for the street w/o sacrificing the handling. Once I switched my suspension over I went back to the same spot on the parkway were I lost it and was actually able to take the turn @ higher speeds w/o even a flinch of the new springs! Hands down direct comparison right there.

im gona have to take syndromes side on this one... even though i shouldint be takling i have NRG coil overs on stock shocks
but believe me if i could afford it i would have teins
but believe me if i could afford it i would have teins
cornering with my sprints is actually not bad. i could almost take turns as fast as my friend's evo 8. seriously...but i think its due to my sway bars rather than the springs. my camber settings and AVS100's dont hurt either.

NOOOOOO double NOOOOO, KYBS and SPRINTS????? man you are just going down the wrong road
How about just giving me your money instead of throwing it away like that, I could actually spend it on something worth it!
Seriously though the KYB 5-ways are much better than the non adjustable ones but they still blow out way to much, and if you run them on soft sprint springs then just kiss them goodbye! You may save money now but you will loose MUCH more in the long run. Other than buying a full coilover setup, Tokico 5-ways with GC or Skunk coilovers are the only way to go (I prefer Skunk 2 personally but GC is great too just a little softer), save up your money and spend it on parts that are warrantied for life and that you won't regret buying!
Take it from somebody that has been down that road and learned the hard way
