Default advice about.....

hey guys i have a dilemma and i would like your guys advice. I was offered a act clutch with street disc and high pressure plate for a low price, it was used about 2 months, The guy said he was still breaking it in. Never beat on it. what do you think? ITs a very good price but i'm worried about putting in a used clutch and have to rip it out again if something goes wrong. what do you guys suggest? dont bother and buy new or? sure go ahead and get it.......

also what are your opinions on the spec clutches, centerforce , exedy and clutchmasters? thanks again

Why buy someone eases problem? There has to be a reason why after two months he went to the additional expense and aggravation of yanking out a "perfectly Good" clutch set up and installed another one......
If your car doesn't require a clutch RIGHT NOW, I'd suggest you start saving up your hard earned "green" so that (after proper prior consultation) you can plunk down for a Brandie New Clutch set-up of your very own.

Observation: You don't want to do this job twice!!

ok very true...but i forgot to mention his reason for yanking out the clutch. He took it out becasue he upgraded to a 6 puck which holds more power. He has a boosted H22a. He requires the clutch to hold more power. But your reason is excalty what i was thinking about. I have needed a clutch since day one i bought the car. I have now had the car for a yr and a half. I dont beat the clutch but becomes annoying when i have to rev up a little bit more to get into first gear
