when my stock mounts went bad whenever i would brake the motor would shift forward and the intake would touch the battery terminals and cause the car to die.

99.9% of the time it's that one simple stupid thing that your overlooking....something sounds like it is shorting out, are all your other interior lights dying at the same time as the actual engine kill?

Sounds like it might be a loose ground wire. I would check those first. Loose grounds can cause all kind of wierd problems.

Buddy, your wiring is shot. If you fix everything except the wiring, and it runs like ****, then that's the problem. Fix it. My prelue used to just die when I was driving around. Everything would die. What was the problem? Bad grounds in the alarm. Rats love EF wiring.

you dont have to rewire the whole thing just check for continuity* on the wires and fix the bad ones

i would have started by checking the main grounding points for the engine, replace them if they look abit funny. test them as well, if you have the instruments for it.

Start with the basics, then work your way up the ladder. I would also have checked the stereo wiring for any loose wiring.
