k i hook up evertying up like 3 times and i am still getting the the red light that indicates self-protect mode. any idea why? and i know the two fuses on the amp are 20 so does that mean i need a 40 amp fuse on the power cable or is it ok to have a 60?
o and i have 2 12in subs and 300 watt insignia. cheat package deal. (i know there cheap but please just help me)

Try disconnecting the speaker wires from the amp and powering it up. If it still goes into protect, then you've got amp issues. If it powers up normally, then you've got something shorting in the speaker wires.

And the 60 amp fuse on the power wire is fine. Better to over fuse than under.
