predictions?
Hey guys, well my type-S is almost going in. I have a question tho on power and 1/4 times. Before my moyor goes in, i am going to build it a little. The parts are on there way and should be here with in about 2 weeks. Im getting IPS K2 cams, a whole valve train of toda, spoon head gasket, hks hi power exhaust, dc race header, aem V2 intake, Hondata K-pro ECU, stage 2 excedy cluth and light weight fly wheel, type-R intake manifold, IMG, ESMM, walboro fuel pump, aem fuel rail, volk racing te37, tein superstreet suspension with EDFC, hotchkis sway bars, and HKS grounding kit. On top of that the head is going to be ported and polished. I know these parts make good gains, but any predictions about how much power and how fast it would go? Im thinking about 230-250 to the wheels, depends on tuning, and MAYBE low 14's high 13's. the track down here sucks thats why
. Just keepin u guys posted on my car build and wanted some feed back. I think the car is gonna be sick, but im open for suggestions. Thanks in advance

That looks like a nice list there, although I am not sure if it will require the additional fuel items listed (fuel pump, fuel rail) but I will let someone who knows more speak on that subject.
First suggestion on the parts I have is (if possible) switch to an Injen CAI instead of the V2. Reason being is that the V2 is a SRI design and the Injen has been proven to give better results than the V2 as proven by the dyno tests on CRSX. Just a thought, there might be other things preventing you from doing that though (water, bad climate etc etc).
Second suggestions is you did not mention tires that I saw. I dont know if you already have these or are planning on running DR's, slicks, or just street tires. That will play a large role in your 1/4 times. Another thing to think about.
As for the power I would estimate 225-245ish to the wheels. That is kind of a large range but it is more of a guess on my part.
For 1/4 times I would think on a good track with decent street tires you should be deep into the 13's. Although you did say the track was crappy so I am not sure. Perhaps you could offset the crappy track factor (to some degree) by running slicks or DR's as mentioned above. I dont want to keep guessing really but could high 12's be possible w/ excellent traction (ie- slicks)?
Either way my predictions might be wrong but Im looking forward to seeing your actual results. Be sure to post them up, and good luck!

Honestly I would upgrade tires, and brakes as well. I know you said volk racing te37 If you want faster track times get a smaller diameter rim than stock size. Accompany that with some sticky tires, cause the stock ones suck. Type-S stock brakes are ok, but I'd prefer something better. You might at least want to upgrade the pads if you dont want to upgrade the whole rotor/caliper/pad setup.
Tires are going to be BFG KDW2, i am getting hawk racing pads and the reason i am not using cold air intake is because of to much hydro locking down here.
One more question. Will the DC race header clear the stock sway bar? i've heard that i might need to change my sway for the header to clear. Thanks in advance.
