Hey guys! I've posted this question up in the appearance forum but didn't have enough feedback. I'm posting this here hopefully to get more feedback. My question is, has anyone here has bought a Civic carbon tailgate (3Door) from Grounded Conceptz? From the ones I've seen, thier carbon tailgate is fully carbon including the area where the license plate bolts on to. In addition, it also has a hole already for the lock. I guess what I'm concerned about is the fit and quality. Thanks!

 

i used to sell the same ones on here and actualy have 1 on my hatch. fits awesme and is awesome quality, BUT you need a dremel to cut out the openings for the taillights. it has endents but its not cut out. its really easy to do tho. also need to cut little slits so you can snap your interior plastic thing on the inside.
i dont remeber if all the holes were drilled out. i know main ones for the hinge havemetal threads so your ok, but i think the more minor stuff that uses screws, like the latch to pop the hatch down, you need to drill the holes to screw it on.
also i couldnt use my lock because there wasnt anything on the inside of the hatch to hook the lock to, like the tab that bolts the latch in place. so unless you have some mcgyver ideas youll prob need to plug the hole.
it sounds like alot of work but i like it better than the vis ones that are black in the lisence plate area.

oh yea. you cant put your license plate lights on this unless you want to cut openings for them. i left them out, but i know you CAN get a fix it ticket for that.
