i have a 02 type s and my clutch squeaks everytime i let go of the clutch.. i took it to acura because i had it in warranty.. they CLAIMED they fixed it and that it shouldnt squeak but they were wrong.. i tried wd40 and worked for only a week. now that i realized it still squeaks, my warranty is over.. what should i do??

 

try urea grease put some on pivot point on clutch fork.

The work they do should be guaranteed. Take it back to them.

 

this was a MONSTER common problem when the ep3 and rsx was first released

if u bring to the dealer they replace a bushing & even heard some people have some master cylinders replaced

 

did you have anything done to your car when you broght it to acura to do warranty work???

 

I had Mugen suspension when I got my EP's clutch master cylinder replaced under warranty.

 

nah, when i took my car up there, it was completely stock.. not dropped or anything.. i think all they did was wd40 it.. man my warranty is over, i dont think i can go back... and mine is an 02 so... what im going to do is try that urea grease.. and if that doesnt work.. guess get a new clutch..=/

 

yeah, let me know if that works! I have the same problem with my EP, but I cannot seem to find the time to figure it out! I really think it just needs some sort of grease!

 

Hmmm everyone has the same problem also. I thought i was the only one. Well Let me know what workx cuz its really getting annoying. Mine is an 02 and i got my car used so i had no warranty or nuttin. Replacing a clutch i dink would be too expensive just for some squeaks. I dink the grease should do. Well let me know guyz.

 

alrite i found the problem on ephatch.com and this seems to be a problem on some honda's and acura's. I read the Honda Service Bulletin and there seems to be a problem with our Clutch Master Cylinder. dammit my warranty expired 3 months ago. oh well, imma take it in to see if they'll do it for free on Monday!

well, of course i'll try the grease first before i go looking for a new clutch...imo, my clutch is fine, it just squeaks.. (which is annoying) but.. im pretty sure some grease should do it..

 

my clutch squeaks too..doesn't bother me..doesn't effect the clutch in anyway so i'm not going to bother with it.
