fuel cell venting question
if I have a one gallon fuel cell mounted on the firewall in the engine compartment, how important is it to run a vent line to the outside of the car? I have an RCI fuel cell that comes with a rollover vent fitting on top, will the tech inspectors make a big deal if I dont have a line running it outside?
thanks

the fuel cell in my truck just has a tip valve and a fitting on top as a vent, no vent tube, and I've never had any problems w/ tech at the track.
one difference: mine is in the bed of the truck, not in the engine bay, not sure if that would make a difference to tech inspectors or not.

the vent on top will be fine as long as the fuel cell is 6 inches from the flywheel you will be fine and grounded the only time you have to have another vent like outside the car is when its located inside the car

oh yeah, how can you legally mount it inside the car? do you have to build a steel box surrounding it?</TD></TR></TABLE>
steel or a thick gauge aluminum. it has to be completely sealed off from the drivers compartment.
