Ok i bought a 88 crx hf with the d16a6 swap the car runs really rough the guy dident know what it was so i figured if i bought it i would figure it out.But now that i look at it i cant! but i noticed that there is 2 ecus one was disconnected and laying on the floorboard i was told that one was the si ecu because of the motor swap and one was the hf.My quistion is how can i tell the difference i swaped them both but really no difference but what if they are both hfs or the wrong kind how can i tell is there a number or somthing please help.

 

Both ECUs will have a sticker on them with three sets of letters/numbers like this:

xxxxxx-xxx-xxx

The Si ECU will be
xxxxxx-PM6-xxx

The HF ECU will be
xxxxxx-PM8-xxx
