the other day i was driving i made a wide left turn and hit a curb real bad and messed up my si rim. Now i bought a new rim and installed it i realized that the back of the brake and the end of the shock were really greasey. I saw that my CV boot had a small slit(cut) my question is will i have to replace a whole new CV shaft for that side or can i just get the boot replaced. Because the grease is coming from the boot cut and i know that not good for the bearing. any help thanks

 

you are correct. It is not good for the bearing (not the wheel bearing). Since its recent, you could simply replace the boot. It should be just fine after that. Make sure ur A-arm strut and everything is not bent. I hit a curb hard too, and i think my A-arm is bent. Just look at boths sides. The wheel well gap should be even on boths sides.

 

Also -getting an alignment should be a bad idea now.

 

i would replace the whole thing. you might as well its not to expensive
