Default CRX stuff

hey everone, well i'm posting this topic for my friend. he's thinking about buying a crx, but isn't quite sure about everything you could do to one, so he asked me, and i wasn't sure either, i told him i'd check up on it. So i figured i'd post on this board as part of my research. About how quick can you make a crx in the 1/4? Whats the best engine swap for one? Can you fit supercharger in it? Any other info would be useful..thanks alot!

A CRX is a good choice. You can make it as fast as you want in the 1/4 mile it all depends on money.... There are tons of choices for engine swaps. The one the most people would recommend is the B16a, it's the best for your money. A crx with a b16a can run anywhere from mid 14's to low 15's. And yes you can fit a supercharger in it. I've seen the jackson racing many times.

i thought crx's could be made to run like 11s and 12s easily, cuz of their weight. what do the people do who can run those?

One word, "Turbo".
That's the easiest way. Now I'm sure you can make it to 11's with Allmotor, but I think it's a bit more expensive..?
I saw a CRX with a B18B, and 19psi of boost running 11's all day.

I agree, only way to make it that fast is some serious weight reduction and forced induction, lots of boost and a motor built to handle it.
