91 accord front suspension work
I hit a curb very hard on front right wheel. Now it has much toe and 1 degree positive camber. Looking at the suspension, nothing is obviously bent. The only thing I noticed is that there is a spot on the front of the lower control arm and on the front of the damper fork where it looks like rust popped off. I would like to replace every thing that was bent. Does anyone have advice on how to know exactly what is bent. Are there aftermarket high performance control arms available for this car, and who manufactures them. Also, are all 90-93 suspension parts interchangable.
You most likely bent the lower control arm, effectively shortening it. This would not only pull the tire in on the bottom (out on the top) (excessive camber), but also give excessive toe-in since the rack's attached behind the pivot axis of the ball joints,
As to your question about HD Control arms.... I'm not aware of any, And after thinking about it I wouldn't want any. My reasoning?
I'd rather have a replaceable control arm bend, then have the impact transfered thru the control arm into the body sub-frame (non-replaceable)
