Default For all those w/ solen or totaled Type R's

I am curious to know what your experiences were with your insurance company in replacing your Type R. I have State Farm, & I'm worried about what they will give me in value for my Type-R that was stolen. My feelings are, I paid $165 a month in insurance, those fokkers better not try to screw me over.

Who is your insurer, & how much did you get? Did you find it fair? Did you have to fight for it?

Everything went okay at first, now they're taking their time.

I got a total payoff on the value($24,000) of my 01 R that I totalled in an accident.

I also have Statefarm!

I have had Very good experiences with them for the last 8 years.

I had Argonaut (I think Esurance uses them too). My R was recovered with a broken steering column and dash, as well as $2k worth of audio equipment missing. They gave me two offers, either I could take the R back and they cover damages or they total the R and offer me $23k. The R had 7k miles and hadn't been registered yet (I still have the original manufacturer's certificate of origin). I made them a counteroffer they accepted, that is they total it and allow me to buy the car back at the auction. At the end I bought the R back for $16k.

I have Allstate, but a focker from Nationwide hit me and totalled my 98 R back in June/01. Their initial offer was1 149xx, but after a few days of negotiation, I got 13k and the R, which I ended up selling to some dude.

NEVER ACCEPT THEIR INITIAL OFFER.
