Vague Question but I can prolly guide you. I'm lookin at new rims myself. Some things to consider...
Tire Price (generally bigger the rim the higher the price per tire)
Style you're looking for (painted, number of spokes, blah blah blah)
Performance or looks (heavy chrome wheel or a lightweight polished aluminum one)
Price of Rim
Generally, I see 17s as being too big. They look alright but the sidewall for those is so small that it seems to pick up every little bump in the road. Plus tires are more expensive.
In order to answer your question in a few words just look for what suites you...Price and Looks. Theres generally a better selection of performance tires for 15/16" applications. Look around.
I'm personally getting these
