Default Intake Manifold

Someone told me I can use a obd1 intake manifold from a b18b1 on a obd0 engine harness...is that true? because I got a 99 b18b1 engine that im converting into obd0 but i dont wanna spend more money on the resistor box(60 bucks) and plus the price of a obd0 intake manifold. When i can get a obd1 intake manifold for the same price without the need of a resistor box.
