I'm buying my friends '91 HF shell and I was looking at it today and noticed that the molding on the door is wider than the molding on the fender and quarterpanel. I'm guessing the car has different doors on it? If I got new molding would it fit right?

The wider molding should be off of an 88-89 CRX. 90-91 moldings are slightly thinner.

I put a '91 fender on my '88 crx and the fender molding is thinner. That's how I came to my conclusion. I could be wrong.

So either the molding is from an older CRX, or the door has been swapped, which I doubt because they late model door doesn't mate with the earlier model. (I tried that also).

 

I'm pretty sure the door has been swapped, could be the correct year but just the wrong molding though. Is the molding interchangeble betweent the 88-89/90-91 models?
