how can i make my ep3 go faster??
I just got an 05 ep3 and i need some help to make it go faster...... what should i start out with? Please note that i dont have much money since i just got the car... so start small...... please dont tell me to get a turbo cause i cant afford
not TOOOO much you can do jus yet. my ep2 still doesnt have many parts and its an 04...so im still waiting on something to come up
and cheaper parts!!!!

Floor the throttle. Use the whole RPM range. Drive it downhill. Don't use the brakes.

Speed=Cash......ep3's are not motors that you build. with the compression of the a3, it is a motor for boost. and boost also=Cash....so save, and boost

EP2 is the 5-door model, not available in the US.

If you're going to get a Type S head you might as well get the longblock and tranny too. A2 head on A3 bottom end just doesn't net enough results for me to see it being worthwhile.
its an ecu upgrade. there are different options. reflash, k-pro, etc.

How much more power? Maybe not enough to make all the work worthwhile. Hopefully more than the 158 whp I've got now on an A3 with i/h/e, so probably around 170.
At least one of the guys on ephatch did the head swap and wasn't that impressed. This was a few years ago, so you'd have to do some searching to find his posts among all the "What if I...?" threads.
