My car makes a squealing sound sometimes (not always) when i rev it in neutral while the car is moving. It also happens on other occasions but can't remember right now. Anyway, anyone have any idea wat it is? I'm thinking belts, but to be honest i don't know that much.

EDIT: The clutch was not engaged

Could be a few different things, but probably a belt. Could be too tight or too loose, either way will normally make a noise.
Since it happens when reeving -normally means it is loose as when the pulls start spinning faster, it slips the belt a little -making it squeal.

Also could be because of an old belt. Sometimes weather (cold) can make an old belt that needs to be replaced squeal because when it is cold, and worn, it is not "sticking" to the pulley because it is so hard/dry rotten.
