Default Another here's my timeslip topic!

Local track had an anti street racing event.

This is my best time:

instant greelight

R/T-.831(give me a break, it was instant green)
60'-2.718
1/8/-10.554
mph-71.63
1/4-15.932
mph-91.64

I spun through first and second. Just couldn't get a right combination in such a small number of runs.

Mod are as in my sig. Plus advanced timing, no PS belt, plus some simple weight reduction.

I felt pretty good, if I could get it to hook I'd be well into the 15's, plus I think the trap speed is pretty good.

Anybody care to comment?

I'm going to get some drag radials and go to a test and tune night for some more practice. Overall I feel good about it!

Geez these poeple sure are hard if you don't do at least factory published times. Anyways good times, ya good trap speed. Personally I've never draged mine, so I can't even say you sucked, cause I would suck harder!!

At a track known for its LACK of traction, with only 3 runs and before noon to boot, I think thats pretty damn good.

Next time I go I will have drag radials and it sure as hell wont be at the crack of dawn.

But yeah, practice makes perfect.

Ok, well everyone's right, poor ET for your car. But the trap speed was very good showing your car has good potential. The 60' time of 2.7 seconds is quite frankly abysmal. That needs to get down to 2.2-2.3 you should be in the low 15's. Just work on your launches (try slipping/dumping the clutch) and don't be discouraged by your poor track time. Most people's first trip to the strip is all about learning anyways. I know mine sure was.

Not comparing to published times but comparing to what GSR's could really do. Mustve sucked to have a slippery track. Drag radials will fix that. The times will only get better with practice, everyone can vouch for that. 2.7 60 times, man what have they got on the track? a pool of oil or something?

My 2.7 60 ft first run gave me a 15.7 1/4. When I finally hooked up and got a 2.3 I ran a 15.00. Work on the launch and have fun with it

Yeah, my best time was an even 16 sec. for my 1/4 mile. That was after ten runs or so. I was kinda disappointed because I wasn't getting what was claimed for a stock GSR in the 1/4 mile. Of course that was my very first time at the track so the first time a staged, I was a bit nervous. I experimented with different RPMs to launch at to try to eliminate excessive wheel spin. I plan to go back this coming wednesday and see if I can improve.
