don't worry man. don't feel too bad about it. you couldnt've stopped or swerved in time to save it anyway. this is just part of life. i guess lets hope it was just a stray and it wasn't someone's beloved kitty. i remember hitting my share of small rodents, squirrels, and something that looked like a possum on a back road night cruise with my buds.

as long as your car didn't get dirty or messed up then why does it matter, unless it was your gf's cat. cars are more important than small animals.

only thing ive ever hit was a big *** bird in FL... there were 2 of them in the road and i slowed down to 35 to give them time to move. well as i got closer 1 saw me and started walking out of the way. i figured the other saw me and would run out of the way or fly away... well it didnt and i creamed it. all i could see in my rearview was feathers everywhere... i feel you, i felt the same way.

Good Lord....

I hit a grey/black cat about 3 years ago and I felt pretty bad about it as well...He ran right out in front of me...to the median...then turned and ran back out in front of me....I heard a thud and looked in my rear-view mirror and saw him flip'n around in the road....I felt really bad, but there was nothing I could have done....I guess it was just his time.

When I lived down in Long Beach, I was up in Gardena one night. We were driving through Compton for a little while and I was talking to my friend as we were driving. All of a sudden I look forward, and this dog darts from out of nowhere, so I slam on my breaks, but hear a loud THUMP as i come to a stop. I then look over and theres this huge cholo mexican looking dude running up to my car after the dog. The dog gets up and runs off, and the cholo runs after it. Then I hear this crying and screaming, and I look over to the house and theres this girl yelling the dogs name, I forget what it was. She was standing there with what looked like her mom, watching the whole ordeal. I just rolled down my window, said, SORRY!, and drove off... very fast... I thought that cholo dude was gonna come over and stab me, but luckily he was busy chasing after the dog after it got up!

I had two of my friends hit homeless people. First one asked for $20.00 and a ride. Broke my buddies windshield and passenger mirror. I don't know why my buddy gave him $20 for. It was a Homeless guys fault for jay walking.

Second one my other buddy swipe a crack head. He didn't want to go to the Hospital like the first one. He just wanted $5.00 for beer and a ride to numerous places before my buddy ditch him in a crack house.

Next time if you hit a crackhead make sure you report it. Most of the time its not really your fault.

No Homeless were harmed in these two incident.

i was driving one day past a golf course at night and a coyote came out real fast from the trees along the road, i couldnt do anything about it but slam on my brakes. I hit it dead on and it shattered my whole front bumper into pieces, but the sad thing was i heard it roll around twice under the car. I stopped and looked around but couldnt find anything. That ruined my friday night real bad.

i ran over a cat once in my trans am. the cat went in between the 2 front tires and somehow came out between the 2 driverside tires. it ran a little funny when it ran away, i felt bad but the thing just kept running.

well i haven't hit anything yet, but where i live, (in the boonies, in the countryside) there's squirrels that run across the road everyday that i have to dodge. Not only that, during certain hours of the day, deer come out, coyotes, turkeys, and even wild boars, but really late at night. they all come out n cross the road like idiots. Luckily i never had to share the anguish that you guys have, but i sure hope my luck doesnt run out. The worst part is sometimes the cows from other people's private property come out onto the road.. and you all know how much that would f*** up a car. what kind of car can withstand hitting a 1000+ pound cow. not my teggy.

I hit everything, except animals larger than racoons! There is a good technique to it, go one way and as soon as u see the little critter running the oposite way serve back and hit him.....

I used to run over squirrel all day long, then i started driving around the back country roads looking for snakes to catch.

damn i was bored when i was younger, lol.

The worse is when your car is slammed and you have a lip. You pick up all kinds of roadkill

lol, that or just random crap in the road. I remember hitting a rolled up newspaper going 75mph....talk about fuggin up my front lip. I've also "tapped" a racoon before. He ran out infront of me, saw my HID headlights and ran back the other direction. I've also ran over a squirrel...that one sucked. I looked back in my rear view and saw the little guy twitching.
