Like the title says... Has anyone BAR'd a k20 in a 7th gen civic? If so... Please give me details.. TIA

BAR'd is more of a California thing. It stands for Bureau of Automotive Repair. To make it short. Getting a motor swap BAR'd, basically makes it legal to have it in your car.

its easy in a 7th gen civic......should be no prob.....just run the rsx k20a2 fuel pump and all smog related items to the 7th gen..........7th gen is 01+ right?

 

I'm planing...on swaping..my 7thgen after I sell my gsr..eg....how much did your swap cost..$$..was it worth..it....? Its hard to keep up two cars.. my plans are k-series from...password or a k24...love that TSXXX...

 

its easy, just swap the engine, make sure all stock parts are in the finial swap, including all stock hoses. Run a stock ecu, a CARB'd intake or stock, and stock header/cat. make sure to run a exaust below 95 decibles. call up the state ref and make a apointment. Next time you need a smog, just show them its a legal swap and they wont give you ****...
