Spoon Header? 4-1? 2.5"?
iv been looking at the spoon sports header
now for some i thought they also came in 4-1 and 2.5" flange
but i just did a search and all i found was 4-2-1 with 2.25" flange

Im not aware of a Spoon 4-1 for B-series (I could be wrong).
The Spoon 4-2-1 for ITR application is 2.5" though. I know there are a couple other Spoon headers (including a 2 piece) but I think they are all 4-2-1 designs with 2.5" collector.

Agreed this sounds correct. I don't remember there being a Spoon 4-1 header for our application. The old 4-2-1 was indeed a 2 piece.

Yes the Spoon 4-2-1 is 2.50 OD or IIRC almost exactly 2.375 ID.
But keep in mind that yes if you are lowered or planning on lowering that the Spoon has limited clearance.

there is a one piece 4-2-1, 2.5" and a two piece 4-2-1, 2.5". i highly doubt spoon would have created an aftermarket performance product offering a 2.25". especially with the 98+ JDM ITRs having a 2.5" collector size.

I have one that has a small scrape on the bottom (Not really a dent, just a scrape). I would be willing to trade for a header with better clearance (has to have 2.5" collector though, Type One perhaps?)
May be spending some cash on suspension this summer, so extra header clearance would be great

Hanging low?? Worried?? Get a skid plate!

Fastline Performance skid plates are the simple solution to saving your $400+ header from dents and scrapes, retaining its performance and resale value. The Fastline Performance Skidplate is the only solution to saving your JDM ITR 4-1 header. Get some peace of mind with an FLP Skidplate!
The Skidplate is made of 1/4" thick aircraft grade aluminum. The Skidplate weights just under 4 lb.. The most critical part of the header, the low hanging primany pipes at the front of the header, are protected from the daily abuse of steep driveways and speed bumps.

like this?
Spoon does/did have a 4-1 header with a 2.5" collector (see pictures below). This may have only been intended for the B16, B18B and B18C and not the B18C5 (ITR). The 4-1 is nearly identical to the JDM ITR 4-1 header.

This picture shows the difference between the 4-1 and 4-2-1.
