I have seen a Genuine Spoon valve cover in person, please do not purchase one. 300.00 could be spent in better areas!! Just my opinion though.

 

Hey Chris have Josh powder coat your stock one at his house. He got all the equiptment last week. Hes doing my rims gun metal next week.

Just to let you know the spoon valve cover is yellow and not red. Just for your info.

 

from everything i have heard about them, they are just a yellow painted type r cover. i have heard teh paint rubbs off after a while. it looks good, but im not sure on how long it will look good.

Who starts these rumors? The powdercoating is well done and it should stand up to abuse better than a stock red valve cover. But then again who abuses their valve cover?

 

Um, well the story I heard was from Katman. Remember Dylan and that Spoon engine? Katman said that the valve cover's yellow paint was coming off, not chipping off, but wearing off!

So take it to Kat if you don't believe that!

 

Well I have a Spoon yellow rice cover and I'm just giving my first hand opinion. If you remember correctly, Dylan ended up finding out that he didn't have a Spoon crate motor at all so maybe his Spoon valve cover was also a fake (I'm not saying this is fact, but entirely possible).

 

ohhh, I thought he knew it was a fake b18c, not a fake alltogether. Well, if that's the case, ignore my previous posts.

 

Ok jesus for the last fawking time!! Dave and Daniel both employed at "RandDmotorsports went to japan in January! They also visited Spoon while they were there. 3 Genuine spoon valve covers were brought back to the states. Reid has one of them, BlueR has one, and the other i dont know where it went. Myself, Daniel, Dave HAVE seen them in person. I ASSURE you they are JDM Redheads with a thick yellow paint sprayed right over the red crinkle paint. Yes katman was correct when he said that Dylan's valve cover in some spots you could see the red bleedingthrough. END OF DISCUSSION!!!
