Default Spoon Head Gasket

Ive just bought my Spoon head gasket and im about to change it, but first ill like you to tell me how much torque to apply in the head gasket bolts????

Are you planning on re-using the oem headstuds? If so... I'd advise against it and just pickup a set of ARPs.... those will also come with lube and torque specs.

There's torque sequence so make sure that before you tighten it up. 1st step 22 lbs and 2nd step 63 lbs.

Thanks, so thats 22 first and then 63.
im reusing original headstuds, what problems can i have on the future?
Maybe later i can change them?

Get a helms manual you can dl them for free.

They can stretch and give you inaccurate torque readings. I have reused head bolts without any problems. I re used them when I installed a spoon head gasket and a type r cams on a b16a. I drove the **** out of that engine too.

You will have to buy a new head gasket which will not be very cost effective.

Buy it from Helms. Why not support them?

I reused the stock head bolts when installing a Mugen HG on an R. Worked just fine. I wouldn't do it more than once though.

my friend is thinking of doing the same but isnt sure if its worth it. is that all your doing is the hed gasket?
