Default *** 96 Civic Door Handle Help!! =( ***

I'm trying to take my door handles out of my 96 Coupe. I've got the lock rods disconnected and the handle bolts out, but the metal plate where the key goes in(on the inside) is holding the handle in place,

I cant seem to get the Retaining Clip out that holds the metal bracket in place.

Here is the thing im talking about, its number 11.

Any help is appricated on how to take them out.

Thanks!

It looks from the diagram that it's a metal spring clip you can squeeze with pliers, but I could be way off.

Can you see the clip?

Those are a pain if you've never done it. You need a small 90 degree pick and hook onto the bottom flat part and pull it down and out. Or you may be able to push down on it from the top. but it slides down either way.

according to the manual you push down first and then its suppose to protrude from the bottom but that thing is far from protruding from the bottom.

i dont have a 90degree pick. errr..
