Default question bout the driver's left side engine mount?

is it bad to let the mount leak? cause i haven't replaced the mount and like my engine mount on the drivers side cracked. There is some liquid that is leaking from the mount, and i just wanted to know if its bad to leave it leaking? will it be bad for the engine? i am going to replace it once the engine mount that im bidding on ebay ends. for now i just put sum silicone on it. but it doesn't seem to stop the leak. any suggestions how i can stop the leak for now?

engine mounts don't leak, they're made of rubber and metal. if you thnk you are seeing a leak, it could be rain or moisture building up in the cracks, or maybe the rubber is just really new and darker than the rest. either way, i would just replace the motor mount's rubber part with a new one, or you could get an energy suspension insert.
