can a 2.0 engine out of a honda prelude be put into my 1991 crx, and what all do i need to do this???

Short answer no. If your talking about an H motor yes with alot of money fab

it requires a lot of modification to put that motor into a civic/crx. the transmission is going to be the biggest problem. the 88-91 preludes use cables to change gears. there is a completely different setup for the shifter that would take a lot of work to change over into the crx. you will also have to make some room, as the prelude motor and transmission is wider than the crx engine bay. not to mention the 2.0 leans backwards almost 45 degrees, so there may not be any hood clearance. all in all, wayy too much work to put that motor into the crx. you are better off swapping in a different motor.

 

With a lot of money and LOTS of time and Fab. work you can put any motor you want in.
