Hi everyone, new member here.

I own a 2000 Accord LX, automatic transmission with the ULEV version of the F23 engine.

The problem is that my vtec oil pressure switch failed and the car started hitting "redline" at 4,000rpm. Getting the oil pressure switch for my engine is very hard in my country, but i can easily get one of the switches for the B or H series vtec engines. My question is: Can i safely use these switches in my engine or does the difference in displacement affects the overall performance? My mechanic lended me the switch of a K20 engine and so far everything has been ok, but i really want the original part.

Any advice on this?

Displacement shouldn't be a consideration, but I'd still agree with you about putting the correct part back on the car.
You might try calling either of these (or other) Internet Honda Dealer Stores and see if they ship international (I have no idea what "Country" you're talking about. Idaho maybe? )

Hey, Thx for your help - i live in DR (Dominican Republic), and getting this kind of parts, specially for ULEVs, is not an easy task, thx anyways.

Anyone else have another suggestion?
