The stock one?

You'll need to provide a little more info.

Stock motor?
Did the motor come in this car originially?
Are you doing a swap?
Obd conversions needed?

help us, help you.

Well the B16a2 is going into my Eg civic. The motor is stock with no modifications to it, but I will look at doing that in the summer, but for now I looking for an ECU to run the motor. If you need more info I will put it in...

I say a P28 OBDIIB-OBDI conversion..... You can get Erick's Racing to chip and your set with a 20HP gain....

I would say p-30 or you could get a chipped p28 for about the same price.

Got some dyno sheets for that 20hp on a stock b16a2?

Just chip a p28, it'll come in handy down the road.

Why does the P28 need to get chipped to work?

And why does he need the OBD conversion? Where is the B16 from? JDM Civic, USDM Del Sol, or USDM 99-00 Si?

b16a2 = usdm 99-00 civic si

I have heard people say it can also be from a del sol vtec, but I have never found proof of it.

unchipped p28 won't run the twin cam properly. Wrong maps. It will run the car and you can drive with it, but it is not smart.

If he hasn't already bought it, I'd suggest getting a JDM B16. That way it's already OBDI and he can run an OBDI P72 ECU or other chipped ECU. I'd imagine a true USDM 99-00 Si B16 would cost more..

I'd personally run an obd1 chipped P30. knock sensor is already wired in, but a chipped P28 would work.

you can use the OBD-I P30. that one is the correct ECU for your motor. but i would recommend buying a P28 and getting that chipped. once you get that run open header and tell me what you think...mmmmmmmmmBAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

A very limited number of Del Sol's came with a B16. (Del Sol VTEC)

That is the only USDM P30 ECU I can think of..

Are there any issues with using a JDM ECU on your USDM chassis?

The b16a2 came in the 99-00 civic si, the one that you were talking about in the del sol I believe is the b16a3. I would do a obd 2 to 1 converion and run a p28 chipped that way in the future if u decide to turbo the car then your ECU is already tuner freindly!

i don't quite understand your question cause the ecu doesn't have to do with the chassis of a car.

You're right, it doesn't have to do with the chassis, but the OBD level would have to do with the year of the model it was in. A P2T is obdIIb, because it was in a car that was manufacured in the years of 99-00, which were obdIIb.
