Default car idles eratically like a iacv already replace

Ive already replaced the iacv and this problem only occurs sometimes after a while of driving the car it starts to idle fine. Ive heard some places that if you have a dirty intake that this can occur. If thats so should I use seafoam ive heard good and bad about it. thank you for all replies.

replace your pcv valve. mine did the same thing, changed it out and it took care of the problem. not exactly saying thats your situation, but $3 doesn't hurt to try!

oh yeah, i wouldn't try seafoam. there was a post on here recently where the dude claimed 10hp, and better performance, but posted prior how seafoam was making his engine act up. do a search it should come up. the only thing i put in my motor is oil, coolant, gas, & air.

also there is no possibly way that he gained 10hp seafoam removes carbon build up and restores horsepower to stock specs. maybe his car was real beat up

i agree, but thats what he claimed, then another member asked the same question, turned around and pulled his other thread on how his motor was messing up. basically to prove that the one claiming to gain hp didn't know what he was talking about. if this makes any sense.

i wish i knew how to pull up threads and put them on post, then i would show you.
anyway, good luck!

You might want to check your fast idle. That was the problem with mine. About 10 minutes in the garage and it idled great and still does.

disconnect (and plug) the coolant lines to the IACV and start it up and see what happens
