Default Stock Intake

I have a short ram intake on now, but i still have that thing that was connected 2 the bottom of the stock intake box, does n e one know how 2 take this plastic thing out, my friend says his was the shape of a U, can someone please help me?? TIA

try pulling the black tube out of the box... then you'll REALLY be like wtf!?!?!?!

Honda made those things to withstand nuclear blasts.

I think it's where the VTEC Gerbils go to hide in the event of an emergency.

I beat on mine with a hammer on and off for 3 days before I got the tube out. I didn't even want the tube, but after trying to get it out, it became an obsession.

ya know, there is a screw that you have to take out. no hammer necessary.

so true....... 2 10mm bolts to be exact.

u'rs should look 90% like this one. the type r had a slightly different design

I took mine out last week before installing my AEM CAI, nad I remember 3 10mm bolts.. not a big deal though. That thing is so weird looking and I spent a while trying to take off the black tubing, then I just said forget it! Fun stuff...

much easier if you take off the bumper. the bumper only has like 12 phillips screws on the top, two screws on each fender and like four screws under the bumper.

I did it without taking off the bumper but it also helps A LOT if you take off the wheel. But it was a PITA either way

I didn't take anything off... just jacked up my car so I could get under it and undid the screws. Took me no more then 10 mins max anywayz!
