91 accord idle problem
What's going guyz . I lookin for some help. I have a 91 accord with idle problems.
I have read all the treads on this problem and tried everything i could.
I have replaced the Fast Idle Thermo Valve . And the IAC valve. It got rid of
the problem for awhile but it came back and tried adjusting them and nothin.
U guys think the map sensor has anything to do with this ? I had to unplug the iac
to be able to drive it.. If i plug it in it idles from 1k to 3k warm or cold it does the
same thing. when its unplugged it idles fast from 1k to 1300k. can anyone help me.

Does the Check Engine Light come on? If not, I only have a few guesses. (TPS) throttle position sensor. (MAP) sensor (should get a CEL for that though) Have you changed the coolant lately?
I'm inclined to think TPS

First, check for vacuum leaks. Then check to make sure that there is about 1/4 inch of slack in the throttle cable. Then you will probably want to set your base idle. With the engine warm, unplug the IACV and set the idle to between 450 and 550 RPM. Kill the engine, plug the IACV back in and clear your ECU memory. Crank the engine and let it idle until the ECU settles down and you should be idling around 750 RPM. Any excess air that enters the motor can cause this idle surge. Vacuum leaks, IACV, FITV, EGR not seating when closed, bad PCV, throttle cable too tight, and idle screw out too far can all cause a high idle. When the idle exceeds ~1200 RPM with the engine warm and the throttle plate is closed, the ECU cuts off the fuel injectors. The idle falls below the threshhold, the injectors cut back on and the whole cycle starts over again.
Thanks alot guys But that wasn't the problem.
I was getting a little a leak trough the intake manifold. I replaced the gasket
and added some loctite and solved the problem..
thanks for everything guys
