Default power band ending?

hey, I'm running a D16Z6 in a EX coupe (95), redlines at 7k, I was just wondering what the ideal maximum power band ends at? If you were going from 0-60, would u shift out of 2nd, or hold 2nd until u get to 60? What RPMs will it hold the power to if you're street racing or going for best accel. I know wiht my probe it redlines at 6500 but if I don't shift by 5500 - 5800 I'ma lose the powerband and it becomes useless :-\

Thanks in advance

ok, generally speaking with a honda you would want to run it to redline cause we dont have a ton of torque down low on the rpm scale.
