Are Ep3's gaining popularity?
Are the EP civics gaining popularity? Ive notice alot more of them now driving around (Bay Area). It seems to me that people are jocking them now that they are "extinct". lol, anyways post up what you think
It does seem to me that people suddenly started shopping for them more as soon as they were announced discontinued.
Unfortunately, although the 2004 facelift was designed to appeal to US buyers more, Honda at the same time directed a slowdown of USDM cars at the Swindon manufacturing plant.
The car was doomed from the beginning, IMHO chiefly because of the price point.
The EP3 CTR, as a general road going car for the enthusiast, was always well regarded in the UK and Europe. It was a much, much better buy (and faster) than the VW Golf GTi.

well when i first bought my ep, i loved it! one because its a great car, and two because i NEVER saw them around my area. since i have bought mine i have seen 2 white ones, a blue one and another black one around........im pissed. haha but i really like the ep and most of my friends like it, so yeah, you could say its gaining in popularity
I am thinking of getting an EP hatch. I think it has a good look to it. Plus its different mainly because of the shifter position. After test driving one yesterday, i really fell even more in love with it. It was fun to drive and the shifter really didnt bother me that much, actually i think it was better. Seats are comfortable, and its fairly new and are not badly priced. I was originally going for an EM1 Si, but after test driving the EP, i changed my mind. Not to mention the possibilities with the k20.
I just got an 05 ep3 and i like it alot.... its fast and it save gas. I live in san jose and i also notice that there are alot of them on the road.... soo i guess its gaining popularity, but i didnt get it because everyone else did.....
I actually hate that car, i test drive one and it was quick, but for some reason its just one of those cars that you either hate to death or love to tears, and i hated the body to death, it was just so ugly to me, i remember when it first came out at the car show everyone claimed they would have one, now i see more lambos then i see ep3's, and i live in portland which is a huge city, other then the body the car was great, it would make a great daily driver/ tracker *** kicker, and it did have a great powerplant
portland isnt a hugh city cuz i used to lived there for 12 years.... it is the biggest city in oregon... and lots of white boyz that only like VW...... we are talking about bayarea with lots of azn and rice rocket. I have to agree with you i didnt see much ep3 in portland when i was there....
