Default dash lights/rear light not working . . . .

Ok, a couple mornings ago I awoke and found my cd player gone, and wires just hangin out. So Then I realized my dash lights didnt work, nor did the rear light (light to look for stuff at night and wat not) Does anyone here have an explination of why this could be?

the power wires grounded out against the dash frame. tape them all up for now and replace the blown fuse. (would be nice to know what year and model of car your talking about.)

88 CRX, Yeah, and now I see a little light, or at least notice it now under my dash. Its a fuse, don't know if that was there before or what.
