How do you ITR guys/girls feel about GSRs?
I know it seems like a funny question, but I had an encounter with 2 guys with ITRs. They were telling me that the ITR is a way more superior car, which it is but not by alot. Even some ITR owners on this board do some GSR bashing. I just want to make it point to say that the GSR is not far behind an ITR in terms of power and handling. It doesnt take much for a GSR to be a quick car, nor does it take much for it to be a better handling car than it was stock. I think the ITR is a great car and I kick myself in the *** for not getting one I got my 01 GSR, but in NJ its a insurance thing. Just trying to strike up some convo, no flaming.

I personally like GSRs... Great cars.. I use to have one... and I'm getting another one also.. another 94-95 GSR.. gotta have the OBDI... but they're great cars.. I loved mine... so don't worry about what others say... GSRs are GSRs.. and ITRs are ITRs... just be happy with what you got...

i had a 94 integra GSR and enjoyed everything i did to it, is just as good as a type r, but in terms of overall handling, the type r shines

stock gsr
its obvious type r is better, u pay for what u get but gsr is
about the same just miner dif suspension and obviously the motor but not by much i would probably buy a gsr cuz its cheaper but make it better then type r with less money then i would pay for the type r

lder Brother
ITR=Younger brother and gets all t he attention
SI=Red Headed stepchild
Its true, everyone loves the red headed child when he's born but as he gets older, hes always getting his *** kicked, picked on and always the outcast of the family. The same with the 99-2000 civic si.

I love my 95 GSR....it has been extensively modded in the N/A way...and runs real strong. I wouldn't mind having an ITR but wouldn't want the headache that comes with owning one and keeping it safe.
I would love to have an ITR anyday, anytime of the week. My GSR is filled with ITR parts.
I almost bought one last year, although I must say that the difference in handling, power, performance over my GSR (comptech bolt ons, ITR suspension) is just marginally better not substantial.
The ITR however, will and always have more "character and persona".
I just couldn't justify it to my wife paying 3 times more for insurance, for what she thinks is the same car
.
So I just bought a Pathfinder to put a big
on my face.

I had a fully built 96 Gsr, I loved it, big difference from the Itr (so far) the gearing/lsd and braking is far superior than the Gsr that I owned. Its like an Itr step brother.
I have a gsr and recently drove an R for the 1st time and the difference is noticable. Stock for stock i would say definately the R but if your gonna build the motor either car is good (the R have a slight edge). The vtec crossover and engine notes in an R sound good
depends what you want and how much $ you have (add insurance to that) and well sadly, how much you want to worry about parking your car somewhere minus your garage.
i have the chance to normally drive both my friends cars (00 ITR, 95 GS-R) its not like night n day, but ya i admit its def noticable......
too bad i do circles around both, ohh ya my vtec engagement sounds 'meaner' than both theirs too, HA !

After driving GSRgrrl's 2K1 GSR frequently, I realize just how different the 2 are.
The GSR seems to have alot more "omph" in the low RPM's, but the R has lots more in the High RPM's. Also, the braking and handling of the R are Greatly improved.
For the money though, the GSR is a Excellent car, and can be modded into excellent competition for the R.
