why dose my car smoke????

Default why dose my car smoke????

my car smokes out all the time when i push the gas hard. i change the head gasket and the dizzy seal. whats wrong with it still its a d15 sohc stock from a 93 civic. what eles i need to change

when it warms up it white but when i run it on the street and press the gas hard its black.

white smoke is water
black is fuel
blue is oil

white is just condensation... black is running rich as hell, any CELs?

well since we're on the subject my car throws alot of white smoke. ive heard thats all cars when they run it hard. ive also heard it could be my head gasket... so any info on mine would be nice. doesnt smoke if im just cruising just when vtech hits

I would check the oil every day for a couple weeks to see EXACTLY how much consumption you have, if any. Check it in the morning, before starting the car, park in the same spot. That will make sure your results are the same.

If your topping off a quart every few hundred miles or so....might be the rings.

Is your engine clean? All the gaskets good? Might want to clean it off with some brak cleaner so you can keep track as well. i would change your pcv valv e as well for the hell of it. It's cheap and couldn't hurt. Prob never been done.

With my lude I didnt, but it sucked bout' a quart every 200 miles!! Ran for well over 50K though, and I rodded the **** out of it also. Ended up getting hit by some kid in a caddy, sold it then. The guy I sold it to, blew the motor up like a month afetr purchase. &lt;-- He knew about the oil.

a quart every 200 miles is def rings. Needed to be re-honed. The block prop looked like glass.
