Cute dog. Beagle?

I have seen people do stranger things. The welds do look nice, and it looks like a Modine core. Way too much money, but what can you do?

It's crazy what the companys charge for performance parts. Thats crazy that the kid paid so much for that intercooler. My friend carlos has a 2003 gti and he got his intercoller kit from a group buy at VWVORTEX.COM and he only paid $675 shipped. The intercooler is a lot bigger and nicer looking too. The intercooler and the pipes are all polished . I guess thats what happens when you buy a European car, parts or just soo much more money compared to our honda parts.

once you own a tig welder...you'll never look at performance parts the same way.

Hey, atleats it's $1100 spent on performance and not a European front plate and HID lights like the rest of the V'dub guys typically buy...

hey at least he spent that 1,100 on a fmic instead of a new transmission or differential that those DSM guys always buy.

there's a stiff poke for the dsm crowd.

actually... looks like the same size that CCA sells every so often under group buys on HMT. I think they sell for 130 when there is a sale/group buy.

$1100 is a lot for a POS intercooler upgrade. He could have bought at least a 700HP rated IC with that dough and still have money for the fitments and what not. That would be over kill though. Not to mention if he had bought that with the knowledge of how to adapt it to his car and from the right company he could have spent a lot of that money else where.

Pfft...I wish they were that cheap...

<-- $3500 deep in tranny parts...

But hey, if DSMs weren't so expensive to repair and needed repair so often, there wouldn't be Honda-tech

Yeah, I'm looking at about $2000 for my tranny right now. Oh well, it'll be nice to drive it again.

random thought....

i dunno...i smoked all the local dsm's and they hated my guts. Mostly because I drive a neon lol. They made more power than me...weighed more than me...broke more than me. Ran slower ET's and slower traps. It pissed them off that they were getting beat by a punk *** kid with a neon. LOL. (didnt help that I talked **** every time I saw them just to rub it in.) One guy spent every penny he had...lost his marriage...bought a complete tranny, x-case, etc, etc. the werks. Got a 20G for it...bunch of other crap. Came back started talking ****. I turned up the boost to 28psi and smoted his ***. 12.4@108 to 11.80@125 I walked away from him top end. lol

yeah the ones that built them to start off. Once they have a built tranny...those things can flat haul! They cant be too far off from an STi....and STis are a riot. I plan to pick up a dsm here shortly.
